Oh em ghee.
I’m all about the ghee these days. Fat is where it’s at.
Have you started making your own ghee yet? Isn’t it the best? I pretty much slather that stuff on everything. It keeps me satiated, my sugar cravings down and is incredibly healing for the gut- win, win, win! It’s my favourite thing to add to my morning elixir or latte.
I have been experimenting with different sweet and savoury flavours for ghee and wanted to share this recipe with you because it’s so darn good. There are a million and one flavour possibilities for ghee but lets start with something fall inspired- CHAI and CHAGA. Chai and chaga just seem to go so well together- ya know, Tom & Jerry, Simon & Garfunkel, Queen Bey and Jay Z style.
Chai spiced things are my fav. When I order a chai latte I am usually drawn in by the aroma and how beautiful it looks with a light dusting of cinnamon but most of the time I leave disappointed because it’s just way too sweet! Gross. I like my chai lightly sweetened thank you very much. In this recipe I didn’t add any sugar(shoutout to all my keto friends) but feel free to add a little maple syrup or honey. It makes the most delicious spread for baked goods. All of those pumpkin muffins you have stashed in your freezer? Put this on them. Trust me.
