This recipe couldn’t be simpler. I am a big fan of those throw everything in a blender or food processor and out comes something delicious. It’s like I’m some sort of magician. Abracadabra!
There is basil and cilantro in this dressing and I used avocado oil as the base as I find it has a very mild flavour so the herbs can really shine. I also used fresh lemon juice and a dash of apple cider vinegar for an extra zing. BUT – let us not forget the honey! Use a light coloured raw honey. I really love the Peace River Honey but whatever local honey you have should be great!

Green Honey Salad Dressing
The perfect summer salad dressing packed with fresh basil and cilantro. Tasty, easy and quick- just throw everything in the blender and voila! Try it on this Wild Rice and Nectarine Salad.

1/2 cup packed fresh basil
1/2 cup packed fresh cilantro
1 garlic clove
1/2 cup avocado oil
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
2 tbsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp salt
pepper to taste
Place all of the ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth. Scrape down the sides as needed. Taste and adjust as needed with more salt, lemon juice or honey. Store in a glass jar in the fridge until needed. It should last 3 days in the fridge.
