Happy February! With winter in full effect as well as colds, flus and generally an “I’m over this cold weather” feeling I have brought you the simplest recipe today that is warming and also good for you! Hot lemonade. Yes friends, I said HOT LEMONADE. This is my go to warm drink after a long hike or exercise in the winter months. I find it very hydrating and satisfying AND it can help with those darn sniffles that keep coming back. Are you ready to give it a go?

Sound like a plan? Let’s do this!
Green Honey Salad Dressing
It’s time to say GOODBYE to bland, gross tasteless salads.
See you later uninspired greens!
Hello tasty, tangy, sweet, packed with herbs dressing. Hello my one true salad love. Hello my sauce that I am now going to pour over EVERYTHING because it’s that good.
With only 7 ingredients, this dressing is jammed full of flavour and goodness. Are you ready to give it a try?
Peach Honey Rosemary Shrub
This is why I love summer. Juicy, drippy, sticky, delicious peaches that you can’t help but eat by the basketful. WHY CAN’T IT BE PEACH SEASON FOREVER?! My love for peaches runs deep. Starting in early childhood when we would eat them at the cottage for every breakfast with freshly picked raspberries and wild blueberries. ahhh, those summer days.
And so, this summer I give you a Peach Honey Rosemary Shrub recipe that is basically everything I ever want in a drink. Shrubs are sweet and tangy vinegar drinks that can be used to make cocktails and mocktails. They are incredibly easy to make with their only downfall being you need to let them sit for a couple of days for the flavours to really infuse into the honey and vinegar. Patience young grasshopper!
Are you ready to give it a go?
Honey and Rose Broiled Grapefruit
Do you want to bring your brunch game to the next level in less than ten minutes? Do I hear a heck yes! IMO, adding rose to anything always takes it up a notch. Like this Honey and Rose Broiled Grapefruit. Not only does it take less than 10 minutes to prepare from start to finish but it has a beautiful, subtle hint of rose that comes across as super fancy. We all know by now how much I love my rose and cardamom (Rose Cardamom Latte, Orange Cardamom Caramel) and I think that cardamom, rose and honey combine so effortlessly together. You hardly have to do any work and the ingredients will mingle together beautifully. Are you ready to try it?
Hibiscus Healer (with Orange, Ginger and Lemon)
We sip tea on the daily in this household. On the couch with Netflix or the Toronto Raptors bouncing around in front of us, on the deck in the sweet summer evenings, in the kitchen as we prep, formulate and invent new(or old) recipes/meals and even (gasp!) in bed with a good book. We don’t drink coffee in our home simply because we can’t be bothered. I am not a fan and if my man wants some he goes to a local cafe where they can make it much better than we can. So, we stick to tea. (speaking of tea have you checked out my guide to making your own herbal tea blend?)
