What happens when the best of two world’s collide? Like, say when hummus and guacamole combine their powers of amazingness to make one dip of delicious?! PURE MAGIC PEOPLE. That is what this avocado cilantro hummus is. PURE MAGIC.
Take the best elements of guacamole- hello cilantro and lime juice- and combine them with chickpeas (because why wouldn’t you?) and you get this dip that you can take to any party, event or just eat at home by yourself. I mean, you love yourself don’t you?
Let’s get to this recipe. It’s creamy, flavourful and takes less than 10 minutes to make. I call that a winner. Want to try it? Read on friend.

First things first. Don’t you just love old food processors? I swear this one, which was my grandmother’s, was an original and is still going strong. Meanwhile, one that I actually bought a couple of years ago feels so flimsy and I am certain it will fall apart soon. Sigh. So if you ever see an old one at a garage sale- buy it!
I digress. What I want to tell you is that you can just throw the ingredients into the food processor in two steps and you are finished. Easy Peasy! Throw the cilantro and garlic in there first to chop them up and then add all of the other ingredients and process until smooth. That’s it!
After you make this you can add it to sandwiches, spread it on wraps, or dip anything and everything in it. Have it for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Basically, it is your new best friend. Let me know in the comments if you make this and how you like it!
